Volleyball Positions Spiker. Volleyball positions determine what your role is out on the court during a game. It has been a part of the official program of the summer olympic games since tokyo 1964.
There are 4 main positions when it comes to volleyball 1 is broken down into 2 different spots. Outside hitter also called wing spiker left side right side hitter wing spiker right side opposite hitter attacker setter. In the picture below the numbers represent the different zones in the volleyball court.
The outside hitter aka left side hitter left wing spiker is the volleyball player that hits and blocks from the front left spot on the volleyball court.
